About the artist
My creative journey began long before Soph's Beach House. As a kid, I always found myself drawn to painting, crafting, and working with my hand. In college, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Studio Art, where I developed a foundation in painting, artistic technique, and creative exploration.
After college, I started building a painting business rooted in my love for coastal art, creating original pieces and custom commissions for clients throughout Wilmington, NC. Since then, I’ve created four unique collections that have been exhibited in Charlotte, while continuing to work on custom commissions for private collectors and local spaces, including a local Airbnb!
Today, my work is inspired by the relaxed beauty of coastal life, playful color, and art that feels personal and collected over time. My approach has evolved over the years, but creating work that brings life and joy into a space while allowing me to express myself has always been the heart of it. 🌴
